ID Champagne-Ardenne, the innovation and economic development agency was founded in December 2014 on the initiative of the Champagne-Ardenne council, with the merger of the CARINNA (Champagne-Ardenne innovation and research) and CADev (agency for economic development in Champagne-Ardenne) agencies. ID Champagne-Ardenne is tasked with encouraging competitiveness in regional companies, promoting the transfer of knowledge and technologies and boosting the area’s attractiveness in France and abroad.
To achieve this, the role of this new agency is to prospect among investors, promote the region’s assets, support the structuring and development of sectors and encourage business creation. In addition, ID Champagne-Ardenne carries out regional monitoring work and endeavours to bring public and private stakeholders together in a dedicated network.
2014 in numbers
- Meetings with more than 1,460 regional companies, 100 visits to key accounts and 4 prospecting trips abroad (Germany, Belgium, Canada, United States and Italy). 4 innovative businesses founded, making a total of 57 new businesses since the inception of the regional incubator.
- 12 investment projects supervised by CADev, leading to the creation or protection of 300 jobs in Champagne-Ardenne.
- 121 research and innovation projects, including 27 at European level backed by CARINNA.
